FIVB - Beach Volleyball Comes to Great Britain

Brighton will hosts the 2008 SWATCH-FIVB Junior World Championships presented by Nivea Sun for players under the age of 21. Brighton will be the sixth European site to host the SWATCH-FIVB Junior World Championships with the competition scheduled for September 3-7 at the Nivea Sun Yellowave the first permanent beach sports venue in the United Kingdom.

The SWATCH-FIVB unior World Championships begins with qualifying for both men and women on September 3.

A total of 44 men's and 37 women's teams from 31 countries have entered the SWATCH-FIVB Junior World Championships as of August 25 2008.

Francesco Giontella and Paolo Nicolai of Italy return to defend their SWATCH-FIVB Junior World Championship after winning the title last year in Modena, Italy.
